Covid 19 has really thrown a wrench into the works. My regular exercise activity -pickleball 5 days a week plus waterfit aerobics are now cancelled, and I've strayed far from my Keto diet that worked so well for me. I'd lost 35 lbs on Keto and was feeing great. Now, I've gained half of it back. Can't blame Covid for all of it. I just had a lapse and regressed. Time to pull it together again and and get back on track.

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in North America. It can be enjoyed by all ages and ability levels and is a very social game. U-Tube has many videos of pickleball. Most of them are pro-level. I'd be surprised if your community doesn't have a pickleball group or groups. It can be played indoors or outdoors. Check it out!

Cool. Never heard of it, and yes, there seems to be pickleball here in NS. Thanks!

J Gunny, good luck with getting back on track. I recommend you go outside and walk, daily, if the weather is reasonable where you live. Once you start walking regularly, you will start to find you can walk further and longer, and try new routes, and take in the world around you, the fresh air, listen to the birds, and if you have trails with forest then walk there, or beside a lake or ocean. All of this is so mentally therapeutic, burns calories, increases your metabolic rate for hours after the exercise, and makes one feel happier. It will increase your energy and optimism. Walking is good exercise. If you have a buddy or different friends to walk with, even during COVID, by being outdoors, and moving, the risk of sharing exhaled air is greatly reduced, and if you stop to rest, keep 6 to 10 ft apart.

Hi Grandmel. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. We live in Victoria on Vancouver Island where there are lots of parks and trails which we do take advantage of. Unfortunately, we're in the rainy season, but it's not cold, and so walking/hiking/cycling is still possible with appropriate raingear. Our community pool is now open on a limited basis - 25 people, max, and we do take advantage of that. Have a great holiday season and stay well.
