I’m so happy you’re keeping the scale under control, with all you’ve got going on. Great work on mind as well as body! I hope your PT gets your knees improving soon! I hope you can provide a list of the exercises, stretches, etc that help your recovery. 💪🦵🏋️‍♀️

A drop! Great! You n I will get back where we were...I believe! 🙏💜 I think we are both to hard on ourselves. I went 2 weeks without working out and ate whatever I felt like and now it's like I sabotaged how good I felt and it seems I lost muscle quickly. I'm back working out and riding my mountain bike but it's not like when I went to gym. I'm using 8lb weights and space is limited. I've just been so unmotivated. I've done good last 2 days but my heart isn't in it. I know you have had and may still have alot on your plate. I'm praying for healing for you and your family. Take care if that knee and know you always have my support. 💜💜🙏🙏🙏💜💜

Thank you, #One. You are very kind. Tom, gosh I don't feel like I have the scale under control very well, but I'm fighting! It is absolutely a mental thing. A couple weeks ago, it almost seemed easy, and now it is a massive struggle. I will someday get my fitness back even if it doesn't include pounding the pavement! 💪 🏋️ 🏃‍♀️❤️

Diana, we are a bit hard on ourselves because we don't want slipping fitness. It is hard for sure when we get disheartened. It has been nearly a year since I've been in a gym, but I was managing. Now... My knee can't handle the pressure. I'm just trying to keep hope that I will get my strength back once my body heals. I also think my heart has needed a break from the pressure of working out constantly... Not my real heart but the one that is weary and stressed out. I know things will get better! Again, thanks to you all for all your help and support. I don't know where I would be without you... Actually, I do. I'd be 45 to 50 pounds heavier than I am now! 😁 ❤️ 1h 1m

Hope the sleeve helps, and love that you were able to order a small! If possible, try not rush it (I am guilty of that one with my knee and re-injured it). I think it must be especially hard for someone like you who runs and has that fantastic trail nearby.

Nice drop!!

Melissatwa— you have been to a doc, right? And have some idea what the issue is. Almost everyone who runs and everyone who goes balls to the wall at a gym ends up with injuries at one point or another.. Physical therapy would be great if you can get it right now.

Thanks, Jazzy! I do really miss running, but I can still enjoy walking on the trail even if a bit more slowly than I would prefer. I am really trying to be "grown up" about this and take time to heal. I am not very good at that. 😊

Thank you, kattay! Yes, Kenna, I went to a GP and then a sports med specialist. Everyone, including the two PTs I've seen, thinks it isn't so much a running injury as a problem created by muscular imbalance. While working out from home, I've used what I have and neglected abductor work. From heavily weighted squats, deadlifts and lungs, my back to front strength is terrific, but... Other movements not so much. I'm working on what is suggested, but I was already doing a lot to stretch and work my muscles differently before I was finally able to start pt. I can't really see that they have made much change except to my bank account. 😭

Thanks, Petra and br_e_co! From today's weigh in, I'm almost back in "blue." I'm feeling a bit more in control, so that is good. 💙😊 I am trying to be patient, but seeing the "4 to 8 weeks typical for recovery, " and knowing I am well beyond that is not super encouraging. But, you guys are encouraging! 😁 We keep at it!!! 🎄⛄❤️
