When I was a kid we used to love Nabisco gingersnaps and ate them often. I haven’t had one for at least 10 years and many years before that.. I bought a box to make a cheesecake crust. They were totally not the same at all and I haven’t had one since. I recently came across a recipe for a key lime pie with ginger snap crust. The cook recommended a brand called STAUFFER’S. SHe indicated they were the only ones crispy enough to hold up in the cheesecake. Never heard of them. I went to WORLD MARKET yesterday for something completely unrelated and guess what was right there on a shelf. They are incredibly good— a true fulfillment of a lifelong food memory. I ate 2 servings and will go to bed a very happy camper.
