Draglist's Journal, 01 Nov 13

No weight loss this morning. And I remembered three hard rolls I had with dinner, the carbs of which no doubt fueled the additional late night eating. Amazingly, I still finished the month with a 1000 calorie per day average deficit. Too bad that's not enough for me. I find that 1350 is my magic number when I review my history. Today begins the final push for the year. Aiming for 195 now by New Years Day. Will target 1200 per day calorie averages early in the month to allow extra calories during Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks. I know that's lower than the 1500 per day minimum recommended for men but it's where I was most successful in terms of calorie deficit. Happy holidays!

Morning. Can't believe you had an average of 1000 a day calorie deficit a) and didn't lose and b) with all you said you ate this month. Wow, 1200 is low for a man. It's what I normally aim for and still have a hard time losing with. Good luck Bill. I hope you make your goal but perhaps slower would be better - I might be worrying about you now :)

You are so close to goal, I envy you. I guess I am too cause my goal is 175 but man oh man when I hit these emotional roadblocks that number seems like - a world away. But we will do it, won't we? I am certain you will at least :) Enjoy that warm day in DC. We are warmer than usual here but expected to drop like a rock over the next couple of days :(

Too funny - glad Denise has been such a great support, not all spouses are. Mine is great too as he does all the cooking and without him I wouldn't have lost a pound! And yes 2,300 calories - that is a lot. Hope you can actually eat that and maintain because look at what happens now when you eat over the odds - bam, right back it comes. It will be interesting to say the least :)
