Pass me your plate! Yes it is southern italian. I saw giada di lorentis make it on one of her shows and wanted to try it. (I am hooked on food network.) It is like a big stuffed rice ball. Super good and a huge production to make. My neighbors and i made an evening of it a couple of years ago.
