I had an emotional day yesterday.

My day started with soaking my jumper sleeve while washing my face, spilling my tea all over my face and top trying to get the last gulp before rushing out the door and trapping my pinky in the car door once I got to work. OUCH!!!!!

After work I decided to go to the house I once shared with my husband. Yes I am still married although we haven't been together for over 11 years. I know it sounds strange and yes it is complicated but it is what it is. I have approached him about divorce.....but these things take time LOL.

Anyways, I decided to start clearing my room and I came across a few items that really jogged my memory. Taking me back to times long gone. And I actually started crying. I never thought that after all this time certain things still hurt.

A lot of my old clothes went into donation bags ( I used to wear enormous jumpers to hide it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Some stuff I took, other things just went into the bin.

On my way home I was still pretty choked. I sorted the things out straight away and as I finished my man left me a message that he was on his way home and about 40 minutes away. So I put some 'Darude' on and danced for joy until he arrived.

As soon as he arrived I told him what I had been up to and how it made me feel. And he completely got me.

If anything bothers you, upsets you, grinds on you: let it out, don't bottle it up!!!!! You will feel so much better for it. And if you can't share it with someone, write it down, just let it out and go.

I thought 3 years was long to get a divorce to marry the actual love of your life. I had a hard time trying to get a divorce from my ex. Eventually I got it. 11years is a long time. You are lucky to have such a wonderful and understanding man by your side. Hugs, I felt every word you said.🤗

It can be hard to let go of the past...it is healthy to let it all out like you did. What I love? You ended up dancing and celebrating. :0)

HI. Quite right - never bottle but let it all out. Think of the mess a lemonade bottle makes when it gets agitated and then the lid eventually comes off - takes a lot of mopping up. Great that you got some good music on and danced - music is great for lifting the spirits. Good that you have been able to make a move to sorting out the past and having a clear out. This week I have started the same - but not for the same reason - our spare room has become a dumping ground and yesterday I made progress clearing and tidying. I have put this off for over a year but wow what a difference I have made already. Dont give up and find happiness with your new(er) man - and when that seems difficult look for it in small things - like a bird flying overhead or small flowers fighting to bloom. Yeah I know that seems trite, but like with weight loos - start with small steps and the benefits will grow. You've made great progress - otherwise you'd have kept those enormous jumpers!! Have a great day. HUGGZ C
