Debbie Cousins's Journal, 24 Dec 19

I'm drinking WATER in my new, spill-proof, insulated, 30-oz YETI tumbler with stainless steel straw! I'm actually DRINKING the water!!! It's not the distilled I want to get, but it is the filtered from our fridge door. The YETI tumbler is supposed to keep ice cold for like 18 hours or something. I filled it up with ice and water, and I'm going to see how much is left in it in the morning. (Usually the ice in my NON-Yeti tumbler is almost all completely melted by morning!) Since drinking water is so foreign to me of late, I'm going to weigh the ice when I put it in each morning and then weigh it again at night to see how much of it is actually staying frozen. Also, I am going to measure the water which I will pour from a measuring cup. Since, when the cup is completely filled with ice, there's not much room for water, so it disappears quite quickly (and MIRACULOUSLY, for me!), I will have to get more EXERCISE, too, by having to fill it more frequently.

That's my YETI news. I've decided to try to get into the habit of writing in my Journal every day again. Can't remember if I told you yet that I got my special slippers to help relieve the pain from my bone spur in my Achilles' heel? I like them. AND, my new Sketchers backless, thick-heeled tennis shoes came today, too. I was afraid they'd fall off, but they're quite secure, and, because they are backless (mule style, I think they call it), they do not press on the very tender spot which is swollen. I also got gel "heel cups" that I can put in my other (existing) shoes so they will keep my heel raised.

Well, guess this isn't just a YETI post. Now, there's equal attention given to my podiatry requirements. All this was written after taking 5mg Ambien, which didn't work. Then, I took ANOTHER 5mg Ambien, which ALSO didn't work, and then I took a Rozerem and am finally starting to feel a little sleepy. I was VERY tired when I STARTED trying to go to sleep at 6:30pm (over 3 hours ago). I woke up at 3am this morning and couldn't go back to sleep, so I SHOULD be asleep now!

There's a good chance, because of the Ambien, that I will have no recollection tomorrow of having written this tonight. With that in mind, I better go before I start sharing secrets that could threaten our national security or something! Goodnight, my FS friends! I'm optimistic about tomorrow! Just filled my Yeti tumbler for the THIRD time! Miracles DO happen, people!!! Maybe tomorrow, I'll tell you about our car situation. Night, all. Zzzzz
