I made apple cider baked donuts with cinnamon sugar coating last night. I have had the recipe for a while but didn’t even want to go there, but gave in and made just six yesterday. They were incredible, so easy and despite being baked were extremely fat and calorie loaded. I ate two and made the better choice of throwing the rest away. What I will do is buy a “mini” donuts baking pan and only make them if I am going someplace where I am responsible for a small treat. I did not use SWERVE, my favorite sugar substitute, because I didn’t think it would be quite the same. I might work on that.

I would have loved a taste with you! You are always making sugar free things for others, so I am glad you made a special treat to enjoy! With all your swimming, you must use so much energy!

I do both cardio (swimming and hiking) and resistance training. Both are very important. I don’t have a problem with calories in terms of weight, I am concerned with carbs from a blood sugar point of view. I am not diabetic and my FBS are fine but like everyone else, I have a family history of diabetes so I try to be proactive.
