I have a question for you all! What victory do you have either weight or fitness related that was really important to you? I desperately wanted to weigh less than my very fit and healthy hubby. In order to get there I had to lose more than 20 pounds! 😁 Now I weigh twenty pounds less than him. Oh! and he didn't gain weight!! 😁 💕

A long time ago, before I retired I saw an ex boyfriend at work and he had lost weight. I asked him about it and he said he had started running 2 or 3 miles. Afterwards I thought about the times we had gone hiking and he'd have to stop and catch his breath and sit down and rest before we had even started climbing. I thought "if he can run, I can run". I lived right by a nice bike and walking trail. I tried running. First time I just ran a few steps and was so out of breath. Every day I kept trying. I'd run until I counted to 100, then the next day 200, and so on. By the time I could count to 700 I knew I had figured out how to breathe when running and could just keep going. I started running 4 miles almost every day. Had to be further than the 3 miles HE could run! I don't know if it comes across in my posts that I am somewhat competitive.

Yes- same- I have only weighed less than Diablo for maybe 2 weeks to a month in the 19 years we have known each other. I'm sure I have so many but I really want my husband to be able to carry me around. I know that sounds stupid and I have commented on it before- so sorry to repeat- that I plan to make him give me piggy back rides for fun. LOL

My goal is a long term one. To leave obesity in the past. To leave unhealthy eating and stagnant lifestyle behind.

I want to be lighter on my feet, so that I don't feel like I'm dragging myself around all day. Do I dare wish to be able to run and dance?

@Davidsprincess, that's not stupid at all. My hubby is very strong but I won't let him pick me up until I'm a little smaller. I don't want his back to break lol. Some victories that have come my way: just recently I've been able to wear hubby's shirts (that makes me happy since he thinks its sexy), I used to force myself to walk 20 min on the treadmill ~ now I walk 45min - 1hr. and it doesn't feel like a chore. Overall, I've lost more than 100lbs so there were many health issues I was able to kiss goodbye like T2 diabetes, sleep apnea, HBP, not to mention achy joints every day.

A1C is normal, off BP meds, and my energy is through the roof!

Same kissangel! He's strong but I'll be damned if I'm the reason his back goes out. 🤣🤭

Princess, I think it is so cute! You've got the "hulk" of the show and you want to make sure he won't hurt himself picking you up! I can't wait to see that picture of him pigging backing you around just for fun!!! Love2 you have the goal most important to us all I am sure. Putting the past behind and never going back! Keyten, your testimony of what can be done helps so many. I have seen the posts... your encouragements and hope you give to people if they will only just do the hard work! Erika! you must dance!!!

DP — have him carry you over the threshold of your home— like a new bride.

#1 If we can change for good, that is the #1 goal for us all! Kissangel, those are amazing and real victories! I have seen your bio before, but to be reminded. Wow! Not many people can ever know your strength to do what you have accomplished! CurizNJ, that is awesome. Until coming here, I never knew anyone able to really make such significant changes to medical issues.

I want to reverse T2 diabetes, reverse sleep apena, and be in better health so my asthma will stop flaring so often. Then I could look in the mirror and not see this obese old lady. Not that I would be smoking hot. But be able to do things this obese body has trouble doing.

I have been free of chronic pain since Feb this year after 4 years (~1460 days of pain!). My hair has come back more healthy too.

Crazy but I just got this idea in my head one day to get back my HS weight. Not there yet but I will make this happen!

My victory was realizing that my food choices and what I eat is one of the few things in life that I have complete control of in my life. So many outside forces we have no control over but how I respond was my choice. I no longer let a bad day at the office impact my decisions. Great post!
