Kenna Morton's Journal, 17 Aug 19

Housekeeper said is was time for me to part with some of my ancient medical books so I’m working on it but I keep getting sidelined going through them and realizing just how much things have changed. You can’t even give this stuff to libraries etc anymore. Anything over a couple years old Is yesterday’s news and not relevant. Makes it a little easier. I will use some of the graphics I have come across for my Halloween decorating projects.. well, back to work. My “keeper” probably knows I’m sitting here goofing off and eating lunch.

I know. I hate parting with mine. When I looked at them it was like kindergatden. I laugh now at how hard they seemed at the time. i am retired now but still love reading them.

Your right, kindergarten is a good description. I still subscribe to journals, read on line, take some medical related classes and go to quite a few conferences. It’s hard to stay current when you are not directly in the field anymore. Docs have the same issue.
