Woke at 233.0, down .4 from yesterday after a big day boating on the Chesapeake Bay. Denise kept making me eat to soak up the alcohol. It was in the upper 90s, so most of the water was sweated out. UPDATE: Down to 232.6 before dinner. Will fast tomorrow and most of Monday to aim for the 220s again. UPDATE: We went down to the national mall to see the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. They projected it on big screens and on the Washington Monument. Came home after that and weighed in for the heck of it. Got to 231.8.

Wow! That must've been so cool! (Well, scorchingly cool!) I have vivid memories of watching it on TV with my father and my aunt and uncle on my mother's side. I was 15 at the time. Looking it up online, it was 20:17 UTC at that moment, or 8:17 p.m. EDT. Does that seem right? I seem to remember being up with the "adults" into the wee hours of the morning during that experience. (Does anyone else remember the time of day on earth when they watched it on TV? Was there a transmission delay between the moon to Walter Cronkite?)
