Charlott_15– I have tried that before, but it didn’t seem to work, but I WILL GIVE IT ANOTHER SHOT. IT STILL WOULDNT BE A LIVE LINK THOUGH WOULD IT. Ignore the all caps, I was in a hurry.

How sweet! Thank you N5SMatter! That is kind of you and I was too lazy to look this one up! My comment was a suggestion and hopefully it did not sound harsh. I do look up many links that people post because I can always learn and of course I don't always agree with what I read.

Keto, sun, and muscle-up is how I've simplified my long term metabolism-up aim. That's only three. Fourteen sound kind of complicated. Feel saturated with information gathering at present, but enjoyed it a lot while having focus on that. Ran by the philosophy, that when things start to get simple, I'm content with the study period. Things have gotten simple.

That's great Diddlee! It's good that you found what works for you and the muscling up is part of that article!

"9. Eat the carbs you earn. If you have “earned the carbs” through heavy training, choose not to eat them, and continue to perform demanding work in the gym, your metabolic rate will suffer. A CrossFitter isn’t doing him or herself any favors by failing to restock glycogen stores after heavy WODs; this will exacerbate the energy deficit and introduce a metabolism-depressing starvation response."--- This is a good one for people wanting to change their body composition, refill that glycogen and keep your body happy with the best energy source or risk suppressing your metabolism.

"5. Lift heavy things. Strength training is essential for increasing your metabolic rate for three primary reasons: Lifting heavy things builds muscle. Muscle is costly. It craves energy. It needs energy. It burns energy. It upregulates metabolism simply by virtue of its existence. The immediate act of lifting heavy things is metabolically intensive. Hoisting heavy objects, whether barbell, rock, or bodyweight, requires energy in the moment. Strength training increases resting metabolic rate over the short and long term. A good strength session even upregulates metabolic rate for hours afterward."

^^^These two go hand in hand.

Diablo360x Got glycogen simplified too... delegated that task to the liver. Extreme sport may need some refill, but that's not even remotely relevant to me anyway. Probably is for you, and I would consider it if it ever becomes relevant.

Charlotte_15 Got into this study on our mitochondria that is responsible for transforming food into energy. Apparently the mitochondria loves sun and grow with that alone. My body has turned into a plant that I need to give some sun too, in order for it to thrive and grow well. Weird stuff, but I go with it. Mitochondria doesn't develop too well in an insulin filled body, but do thrive in a fat burning body. All little things that made life easier.

So chrome is your IE like Safari is mine?

Hopefully I never have to be on a Keto diet for health reasons but it's great that it works for you Diddlee and so many others. I will research about the mitochondria and it's relationship with the sun. I do find it all interesting!

Will yes, because I made it my default. Samsung has their own stupid internet app. I never use it. That's the best thing about android is you can use whatever apps you like not tied down to iOS crap

As far as little heavy or heavier for me I think that it is very good advice. I worked and lifted for 8 hours for quite some time and got muscles that I completely lost well almost completely. I wish I never had them because losing them looked horrible. It has improved through I am not sure which exercise but now my plan is to work on pull ups, chin ups and neutral pull ups of course with a beginner assisted band.

Ah.. I'm on iPhone.. That could be why it's not working.

Yeah, I'm just talking what's optimal if you want to rise above the average. Some people are content with reaching a goal BMI and that's fine. That's not me at all. 😁

I am a fitness instructor in the early mornings and I have my eventmanagement business the rest of the time. We arrange big fat Indian weddings😊 It is a lot of hard work but my brother works in the business and he works much harder than me!!! So I am lucky! But it is a long day for me.
