Debbie Cousins's Journal, 13 May 19

Well, I called at precisely 8am, but was told that my doctor would only be there until 9 to do two physicals. I didn’t want to see another doctor, but none of them had openings anyway. I WAS able to get a 10:30am appointment for tomorrow morning! (That’s like a MIRACLE, because if you “schedule” an appointment, it is always at least two weeks away! I think the receptionist went ahead and gave me one of TOMORROW’s same-day appointments – which they NEVER do! So, praise the Lord for that!)

I’ve been having a fairly productive day today – at least as far as FatSecret is concerned. Been entering all of the new 2019-#19 and all the Swimsuit Slimdown #2 participants into my database. Saw another slight weight loss this morning. I’m eating a lot of fresh fruit, and I’ve been trying to add protein with it, as someone suggested (keyten?) Basically, everything I’m eating that is NOT fruit is VERY low carb. I’m entering all the fruit as “Snacks” so I can keep the carbs out of my regular meals to keep track of them. So far today, I’ve had watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, red seedless grapes, banana, navel oranges and pineapple – oh, and avocado. The only things I have on hand that I HAVEN’T had today are the Honeycrisp apples and the Cuties clementines.

I think I’ll have some more bacon and some eggs for dinner and go to be EARLY (by 6:30pm) so I’m not tempted to eat any more.

I’ll letcha’ll know how the doctor visit goes tomorrow. It would be really NICE to have the motivation to get back to my PT exercises, house cleaning and personal care!

Holding you up in prayer. Thank you Lord, that you provided an appointment for Debbie for tomorrow. Lord, please give the doctor your wisdom in the advise and meds he gives Debbie.
