Rocky - The work your hubby does is very hard on one's health. Hope he continues (diet & exercise) for both your sakes.

Great work on the birthday meal...sometimes I just get tired of eating the "forbidden" stuff because I feel lousy.

Ruth - Actually I'm pretty lucky to have him. But we all need to take care of ourselves because one of these days we are going to run out of second chances!

Neptune - What really bothers me is his complete disinterest in learning about what is healthy. When something educational comes on the TV he'll change the channel!

My hubby has had high blood pressure since he was in his early 20's. He is fit and eats healthily and exercises regulary, yet they don't seem to want to look into why he still has high blood pressure. As his father died of a heart attack at 43, I hoped they might look further than medicating a fit healthy young man. That said....most 'normal' folks will respond incredibly well to loosing some weight and taking some regular exercise. My own blood pressure no longer needs ANY medication woo hoo!

Di Happy - Good for you! BTW, his doc commented (after reviewing his chart) that his high bp "followed his weight" so the rest is up to him.

Buffy, men can be so stubborn. I think they don't want to admit that they may be mortal! Glad you had a good birthday and did well! Have a fantastic week! xxoo
