Kenna Morton's Journal, 15 Apr 19

I broke my dental bridge over the weekend so an unplanned trip to the dentist was required this afternoon.. It was actually really interesting. They used a very small hand held digital camera probe to scan images of all the surrounding teeth and them transmitted them to the dental lab where they will use 3 D printing technology to create the bridge. This imaging is used for bridges, crowns, dentures. The dentist says that it produces appliances that fit perfectly to your mouth structure. Still takes two weeks to get it , but they made me a temporary in just a couple minutes. My mouth is really numb— I had a cavity under the bridge that had to be fixed. So, it was a chocolate malt for dinner.

Sorry about your tooth! Having dental work done can be quite stressful on people. I know it is on me! I see reached your GOAL weight! Congratultions! You've been so close to it for so long, and have done a great job of maintaining right around the same weight, so I know you've got this down!

Thanks Debbie Cousins. In the scope of things just needing a new bridge was a walk in the park. I don’t stress over stuff like that. Weight wise I am on the other end of the spectrum. With my WOE and activity level i have to work at keeping my weight up.

Debbie— I would like to be about 116 lb. but I can’t stay there. When I first joined FS I had a couple of reasons for doing so one was to help a couple of friends who were newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic ( both have since passed away from heart attack/stroke) and to monitor my own intake. I had been on a 2 wk. vacation into the SW where I just had to eat what was available and I put on about 7 unhealthy, fat food related pounds. Now I just stay to monitor.

Ah, thanks for the explanation, @Kenna Morton! I'm never sure, when people have their weight in the low 100's, if they are trying to lose or to gain. I appreciate you taking the time to explain!
