I finally tried the "Tofu" I made 4 portions of it, I ate two (the other two portions are already in the trash) It's something I am not thinking to eat never ever again 😰🤢

I don't mind it in very minimal portions floating in miso soup but that's about the end of it. Good on you for trying something though. Scratch that off your bucket list

Noo, probably I didn't fix it right, I did not even Googled how to prepare it properly, but now it's late. I don't want to know. Plain was not really bad tought

I love to make my chicken breast with the seasonings I like , just a little water and "tomato paste" I cooked the same way my tofu. It doesn't have a lot of flavor, it was weird. 😶

Drain it, marinate it. Use it to boost protein, but don’t make it your main course.

I grew up eating tofu. My mom fed us a completely vegetarian diet. It is all about preparation and seasoning (you have to drain and pat it dry so it’s not too wet before cooking). I have also had horrible tofu, and I love the stuff. Get some fried tofu in a stir fry dish from a Chinese restaurant and it could change your mind🤓

I marinate and put in salads. Mix it wth beef when I make spaghetti sauce (no one even realizes it is in the sauce.) Sautéed until crispy on the edges and mix with scrambles eggs. I’m addicted now.

I'm not a big fan either. Added to some well seasoned soup worked best for me too...

Same as LZ lol. Everyone keeps saying how you can dress it up and make it good. You supposedly can do that with fish and egg plant too but you won’t catch me eating them lol. At least you know now and can look for other things to try that might taste better :).

I used to work at health food store deli -- we made a really great dish that was extra firm tofu, sliced and baked off. But first we marinated the slices overnight in orange juice, sesame oil, maple syrup, rice vinegar, and tamari. I like it stir-fried too. But yeah it does take some work to make it not bland. (I like it in jjigae too, but there you have the flavor of the rest of the soup.)
