Kenna Morton's Journal, 26 Feb 19

This is the blood taken from a man with extraordinarily high triglycerides and cholesterol. Normal triglycerides should be below 150. VERY high is in the area of 500. This man’s was 14,400. The yellow white in these tubes is layered fat— just like congealed fat on a refrigerated soup or gravy.

This man’s history included diabetes, obesity, insulin resistance, high BP, cholesterol and triglycerides and high fat diet.. he was in diabetic ketoacidosis on arrival to the ER. He was 39 years old.

thanks for sharing but is that legal? I for one would hit the roof if I found out pics of my blood where on here without my consent. poor guy hope he turns his life around and real soon!!

The pic came from a medical journal. And the man died.

Keyten77– neither of those things would really not help many people. Certainly not this gentlemen. His problem was not the acidity/alkalinity of his blood it was the fat in his blood due to diet, obesity, diabetes.

He had to have an inherited triglyceride disorder.

Ok, worst part is I assume the quality of his very short life was quite poor

This amount of fat in the blood is unusual by any standard. I have never seen a triglyceride level that high, but that’s why it was in the medical journal, but we see tubes of blood full of oil all the time. It used to be a rare occurrence and now it is a frequent, almost everyday occurrence. When the blood is refrigerated until it is processed it hardens into solid fat just like bacon grease does.

That’s what I initially assumed, but the article just stated poor dietary habits and obesity. That seems like it would be a lot of pizza and double doubles with extra bacon

Wait I'm confused, everyone on here assures me that pizza is a "superfood" and eating it regularly will give me oversized unpractical muscles and I'll live forever.... As long as I stop working my cardiovascular system out with exercises 🤣

Keyten, I think you're fine unless this red meat made you obese overnight. no need for the fear mongering. this subject was morbidly obese.

Keith George Cook— a lot of KETO people here follow their own version of what HFLC dieting is. The medical community has their own opinion but mainly that if used, it should be short term because the jury is still out on long term effects. But this subject has been EXHAUSTED to the point of boredom. People are going to do what people are going to do. It’s not my thing, but then I’m not participating in FS to loose weight. There is a healthier way of doing Keto but you really need to research this for yourself and make some informed conclusions. I guess the final proof will be in the “expiration” date listed on the tombstone. I’m older— I have seen every diet and magic bullet and sure fire cure known to modern mankind come and go in my lifetime and yet we in this country are sicker and in worse shape than we have ever been. So who knows.— I just follow my own path and let everyone else do the same.

Any way to get his weight or BMI?
27 Feb 19 by member: -Diablo
The article didn’t give a weight or BMI. The article was actually about some new clinical procedures and medical treatments that were being trialed to try to save him, but with numbers like that and his multiple co-morbidities, it was a no go.

You have to remember that this gentlemen probably didn’t get in this condition from one meal, or one month of meals . I’m assuming this was a lifelong pattern of eating what must have been an insanely fatty diet and just overeating in general— not just fats. anything that you eat an over abundance of will turn to fat because your body simply cannot deal with it effectively. Obviously “food” for nutrition purposes was not his focus. He assumably had some significant psychological and/or emotional issues.

Yeah, without that(BMI) this post will cause some fear. I, myself find it interesting and know the cause but others are already talking about certain foods being the direct culprits. But like you said, a long term sustained large calorie surplus is needed to reach this level of unhealthy.
