I've diagnosed myself with over training syndrome. Flu- like symptoms without the fever. My last workout broke the camel's back. This will be the third day in a row of missing the gym. Get in a few more reps in my memory, Chris.

Take care of yourself, and rest up. You can't out-pizza over training. Unfortunately.

Mix up your training mate? Your uber competitive by nature go take a Crossfit class, it will destroy you and you will love it.

He would love it, so would you mate. What have you got to lose doing a free trial.... Bodyfat is all that comes to mind. I feel sorry for you guys sometimes being so closed minded to other forms of fitness outside weights. When was last time you grabbed a skipping rope hahahaha when was last time you where so gassed you where literally on hands and knees to reach the summit of a mountain. Weights alone are boring as bat shit, getting fit should be fun mate.

Good luck on the Recovery....Keith, I agree with you, it is fun mixing up the Routines, especially Jump Rope, KB Swings & Burpees....okay, maybe not the Burpees!!

Calisthenics is not conducive to our goals of muscle building. Weight lifting is far superior. Calisthenics and HIIT cardio would just hinder recovery.

Calisthenics equals a lot of glycogen expenditure with little muscle tearing. Heavy lifting equals a lot of muscle tearing with less glycogen expenditure. Both are great for you but one is just a quicker way to build muscle.

Yeah, my partner today did a 405lb deadlift & he participates in all of the HIIT & Conditioning (mainly speed & endurance) classes. One strong 💪 S*B!!

Over side of the coin, HIIT increases fitness. The fitter you are the harder you can work out more often.

Sorry Moopie, I've been out of commision. This wouldn't of happened if I did calisthenics and I'd also be a lot bigger lmfao

Barely within the ffmi for a natural but somehow it's calisthenics that would get me over that Natty limit. You heard it here first, folks. Calisthenic get you a smaller build all of a sudden it would make me huge? Didn't another guy who does calisthenics just post a picture? I don't recall him being huge. I'd be 160 max doing calisthenics if I wanted abs as well. With weights I'm almost 190.. And 405 on deads isn't much for me.

Calisthenics will make you smaller. Calisthenics in conjunction with your weightlifting routine will make you bigger. You would be able to train more often mate. I know it goes against what you believe but it's true mate their is alot of science on my side.

What's the harm in trying some squatted battle ropes, jacknifes, war balls.... You claim you are about results yet refuse to try things out your comfort zone. Enjoy how you look now mate as you will be their awhile unless you push yourself every now and then. Doing exercises like shoot throughs will cause you to use muscles you are not using now. I know this because... Well I use them, you claim to know what HIIT training is yet you don't do any lol. You don't know a full body workout untill you have done 2 F45 workouts, gone rock wall climbing, and a weight session in the same day 😁. Weights are great but you need to mix it up mate. Their are tonnes of things out there you could benefit from if you where prepared to try.Even yoga would make you grow at this point mate.

It would just get in the way of the real muscle building. Impeding recovery. Please show me a link of a study where a bodybuilder incorporating lower weight techniques(calisthenics) got bigger than ever. I'll wait. Nothing short of steroids would make me "much bigger" as you out it. And Chris, even at my worst I could do 405 for reps. 😉

405 LPs.... That's it 180 kg. I'm considerably smaller in size but am doin 160kg? I'm only doing small rep ranges at that weight though.

OMG, yoga will make me grow now. You're great for a good belly laugh. You don't even know what FFMI stands for. I'm here getting schooled on size but I a guy 30 pounds lighter at the same height. Sure man, I'll take your advice. 😂
