BuffyBear's Journal, 29 Oct 12

Weigh in day - Still at 150. Maybe the cooler weather has frozen my scale?

Just checking in. Hope all are safe from the storm. All we have are windy conditions and a 25 degree drop in temperature.

I am at work so will catch up later.

Hi Buffy- that blasted scale drives me mental! Your not up so that is a good thing. Hope the weather doesn't cause any trouble for you,and you are safe and warm :)

Bren - Good morning! I agree, I have no reason to complain about the weigh in. Got to remember patience, or like Dairy King says, "I want patience and I want it now". So your snow has started? Your poor cattle must not appreciate that. Hard to believe yesterday afternoon I was outside in a T-shirt.

Newmooney - You are right - the scale does not contribute to ones sanity. As for Sandy - our location should be fine, but DH got some fuel for our generator just in case. Thank you for thinking of us.

Buffy maybe you need to trade them it....I was so loyal to my old scales and the shock to find out they had been lying to me all these years!!!

definitely better than a gain. You should look at the body composition scales (I mean if yours is really frozen). They very cool (and a little expensive). I have a Tanita ironman. BC-554.

Hi Buffy-Are you familiar with the Avett Brothers? I think they are from NC? I have just discovered them and love the song "Live and Die"

Tracy - Thanks for trying to cheer me up, but I check mine with the scales at my Doctors and, unfortunately, these are dead on. Wish I could blame it on the scale.

I replaced the batteries in my scale and it started to move - slowly, but it moved!

Heather - you forget just how far ahead of me you are - Ironman scales would just be a waste of good technology on me. LOL. BTW - I answered your question about ab exercises (Saturday's Journal). Think I should spend my money on an exercise ball. Stay dry!

HCB - No batteries needed, but I am happy to hear you are on the move! BTW - Loved your picture!

Newmooney - The name kind of rings a bell - I'll have to google them tonight. Sometimes I discover that I know the song but don't know the artist (or even the title).

Well a stand still is better than the alternative -- doesn't mean you've settled there -- only that you've slightly extended your stay -- 140's HERE YOU COME :)

Gigi - We both had sticky scales this week. But I know you are right - Good things take time.

Darn scales...all they gotta do is tell it like it is & it sure feels like they can't even get that right (sounds like weather forcasters), sometimes, even 1/2 a pound would be ok!

GG - remind me of the old expression - "don't shoot the messenger". Lets hope better results next time.

Buff my scales are not moving either ... well they are but it's not the right way. Mine is salt and extra fluid. That's my story and I am sticking with it. ;)
