Rib crib. I had our waitress ask the manager and it seems the 950 kcal on the menu is for the whole meal!! I subbed green beans (80) for the okra (330). Saved 250 there and ate half the steak so saved 240 there! Not bad for a 500 calorie meal! I couldn’t believe it! I entered their info so this is the meal I’ll be having when we eat there. Chicken fried steak is my favorite ‘home style’ meal when eating out. Deprived myself for months and feel guilty when I have it now. As of tonight I know I can have it here and not feel guilty! I skipped dessert too hoping to be able to have a fun sized candy bar and now realize I saved so much by eating light today (900) that I can have a full sized one! Go me lol.

Since I’m telling of my accomplishment I should tell of my failure. I decided to try OMAD because I knew this dinner would be a big one and I wanted to ‘eat it up’. I wasn’t including my protein powered as a meal. Had a spoonful in my coffee this morning. Was going to have a double shake for lunch but decided it was 240 for the one I was going to have or for 360 I could have a full plate of lean pork loin. So my OMAD attempt failed by 1-1:30 pm today haha. Guess we could call it IF since I had a later lunch, but I often eat at 1 or so. I just do better, eat less and less snacking if I wait until the stomach has stopped it’s hard morning growling and I’m starting to get the munchies again around lunchtime. I eat more if I eat breakfast and I think that was a big mistake when I started dieting. I tried to eat a big breakfast then a tiny lunch and dinner. I feel better having my big meal after 7pm. Or 2-6 hours before I pass out.
