Who knew trick or treating and two Halloween parties would burn so many calories?? 360!! Just for moving around. I even had some cardio because we were moving fast for the trick or treating and I couldn’t find my 4 year old at school today. The last party ran late then they insisted we clean up immediately so I had to wait and send my 9 year old to get the 4 year old. She came back saying she was at the front and could I get her while she cleaned up. Well she wasn’t at the front of the school either so I speed walked all the way to the back for the fasted trip through the school that I’ve ever made! Sure enough she wasn’t there but I ran into the aide who said the teacher probably kept her at that building to make sure she was safe when I didn’t show up on time. Sure enough she was there! Also had some cardio there as I ran across the parking lot! I had to keep it to a fast jog so the staff wouldn’t think I was running for something scary lol. They take safety very seriously and seeing someone haul ass out of the building wouldn’t have been good lol.

Once again I’m thankful for my diet, weight loss and antidepressant/anti anxiety medication. I could think fairly clearly. I could go back and forth and not be hysterical even though I was still worried. I could walk as fast as possible from one end of the school to another AND jog across the parking lot! That’s about 3 blocks from end to end plus I started in the middle... short version, 6 blocks in just a few minutes even with the time I took to wander through 400+ kids hoping to spot her. I could’ve done that before but not as quickly and easily as I did today! Thankful for the wonderful staff at our school too! The teacher knew that while I tend to run a bit late, I’m never that late and I do what I say so when I said ‘pick her up’ she thought along the lines of the rules and knew I am a rule follower. Just a miscommunication among the harried staff on a super busy day with so many extra adults and changes.

Also- at one point I did have what I think was a mini panic attack. So many people running around me, couldn’t find her, being told she was one place then probably another etc. Dizzy, lightheaded, blurred vision, saw black spots etc. A bit of chest tightening but no hysterics or anything. Guess it could also be low or high blood pressure. It normally gets high during stress then occasionally it’ll just drop. Almost like my body says ‘hey girl, you can’t take this so I’ll just try to readjust things’ and then it drops a little low and my normal is already low at around 100/65 and 120/75 is fairly high for me. 15 minutes or so after finding her it all started going away. That’s why I’m wondering about a mini anxiety or panic attack. Looks like I’ll be seeing about an appointment soon. I’ll wait to see if anything else happens and if so I will call Monday. Sooner if it happens soon. I had been dreaming of a candy binge but after that just the thought of food made me feel poorly lol. Saved 200-300 calories there so could have a 4th piece of pizza at dinner! The healthy sandwich place we wanted to try was packed and sonic corn dogs would’ve been way worse than pizza and less protein. So I treated myself to a bite sized three musketeers just now. Need to log it ;). Turned down cookies twice, a popcorn ball once and candy several times. Felt proud of myself! I don’t log gum anymore as I only have a few pieces a week at 5 calories or less per piece. I was able to have two pieces today guilt free instead of the junk at the parties! Treated myself to a 250 calorie banana, strawberry and protein smoothie along with my chicken quesadilla for lunch! If I was rich I could have two of each per day, stay at 1600 per day AND have lots of protein :). 114g I think. If you can’t tell by all this typing, I’m coming off of an adrenaline rush I think lol. It’s like I’ve been going all day! Sat down for an hour appointment, maybe an hour total in the car driving, hour at dinner and maybe an hour total here and there since I got up this morning! That leaves around 12 hours or so that I was moving, helping with games and crafts, walking or running (lol)! So I will enjoy the next hour or so sitting on my rear and reading my book! Will do my best to check journal entries for everyone tomorrow. Maybe later tonight if I can’t sleep.

Glad all turned out okay! That workout was something. Not knowing where your little one was, even for a short time is so scary! Again, glad all turned out well. 😊

Thanks! Me too! My little one wasn’t worried just sad that she had to leave her teacher because ‘mommy I love Mrs. T and Mrs. D! I miss them’. We’ve had this teacher before and I think that helped because she’s one of the best! If she didn’t have my LO then she would’ve found her and everything would’ve stopped while we did so. The principal would’ve even halted the busses I think. That’s how big they are on safety and knowing where all the children are immediately when needed.
