LSG417's Journal, 01 Oct 18

Haven't been on here since last Thurs at lunch. Left Right after work to meet my hubby in Fancy Gap VA for a motorcycle/camping weekend. He rode the Blue Ridge Parkway from end to end. I rode with him from Fancy Gap to the end in VA. (He started in Cherokee, which is closest to where we live). Great group of people to ride with and hang out with. Weight and logging food wasn't even on my mind. Weighed this morning and am actually down from last week by a pound (I was up a couple pounds last week due to water/bloat), so I'm actually pretty happy with that. Was expecting it to be a couple pounds more than it was. I absolutely will not reach my goal by my birthday on the 14th, probably won't even make it under 130 by then by the looks of it. But I'm ok with that. I'm still working out when I can and I'm much healthier than when I started. I'll reach my goal. I'm going to do my best to do it by year's end. With all the activities, trips and holidays coming up, it's going to be a challenge. But I will not do a "diet" that requires severe restriction of any one thing.

Hope everyone has been successful in their weight loss endeavors this past week and continues on this week.

We are heading to Maggie Valley in a couple of weeks. Planning to ride the Blue Ridge on our Harley's. It's so much harder to stay on track when we do a lot of eating out but I'm going to do my best. I don't restrict either, just try to make healthy choices and use portion control. Sounds like you're doing great! Ride safe!

Maggie Valley is only an hour & a half away from us. We ride over that way quite often. If you get a chance, check out the Wheels through Time museum. Enjoy!

I think it’s hard to realize we won’t make our goal deadlines. Good job being okay with it! That shows that you aren’t obsessing and have a heavier relationship with diet and the scale ;).
