My mother will transition to a rehab facility in the next day or so. She is somewhat improved but unable to walk. Speech is a little better and she can feed herself. Has a long way to go. Hubby is still having drainage issues with his incision. I have to change the dressing every morning and night. He goes back to the surgeon on Thursday. My sister has been back in the hospital for several days with pneumonia and low hemoglobin. Got a blood transfusion yesterday. She will transition to a rehab facility as soon as she is strong enough. On a better note my son's family was here for Christmas weekend and we had a wonderful time! Grandson is staying for a few more days. Oldest grandchild was not with us since she lives far away. I've picked up 3 pounds!! So it's back on the straight and narrow for me!! Hope you all had a blessed Christmas with your loved ones.

What a day! Hubby's incision is leaking bloody fluid and dressing couldn't contain it so stained clothes and bedding. I redressed it at 8 last night. By 8 this morning it is saturated again. Call the doctor and he wants to see him right away. Sent to the hospital for a CT to make sure there is no abscess and they redress it for us and sent us home with more dressing supplies. While we are in the doctor's office my brother calls to tell me our mother has had a stroke and he is waiting for the ambulance to arrive. She is currently in ICU and in addition to the stroke she has pneumonia. Left side is pretty well useless, but she is conscious and can swallow. I covet your prayers.

Hubby had back surgery on Wednesday. Got home yesterday. He feels better than he has for over a year! He can walk without a limp!! I am amazed! God is so good!
Kids are coming for Christmas this weekend. Stringing in separately and leaving on different days because of work schedules. But we will have 1 day when everyone is here at the same time. Fixing garlic shrimp and coconut shrimp and lots of sides. We have done seafood at Christmas for several years, we like it better than ham or turkey. May you all have a blessed Christmas.

Losing 0.3 kg a Week
06 December 2022
Well Thanksgiving hit and I bounced up to 137!! At least I'm back down a few pounds and working on the rest. Want 130 at the least and would prefer 125. But it's been awhile since I hit 125. Thanksgiving was awesome!! Traditional roasted turkey, dressing, noodles, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, waldorf salad, cheesy hash browns, pumpkin bread, and Suzi Q cake. Not carb friendly for sure! Oh well it's once a year. Hubby's back surgery is about a week away. Sure hope he gets pain relief. I hate seeing him suffer. Hope all of you had a lovely Thanksgiving.

Gaining 0.2 kg a Week
23 October 2022
Bebopping along in maintenance. Hubby had his second cataract surgery and is doing well. His January back surgery has been bumped up to December so that is good. My sister had her heart valve replacement surgery a couple of weeks ago. She landed back in the hospital last week with an infection. She got home yesterday so I went today after church and gave her a shower. She is so weak, she worries me something awful! Coming home from a community activity last night and BOOM...we hit a deer! Darn it! Did some front end damage of course, but the airbags didn't deploy and the car is drivable. One of the joys of living in the country! Hope all is well with all of you!
