Well crud and more crud!! I've been struggling with these darn 10 lbs and am going in the wrong direction, I'm doing too much grazing I guess. Still eating low carb, but at the end of the day it is more than I realize since it is ingested in small amounts all day. I've got to get a handle on my behaviour. Getting ready to go to my mom's for 10 days, taking my turn caring for her. Started another round of iron infusions, tests didn't show why i am chronically anemic, but no bone marrow maligancy was found. So I'll just go with periodic infusions and call it good. Our 20 year old grandson has been laid off from his job and has spent 3 weeks with us. He and Granddad have gotten lots of things marked of his to do list. Hope all of you are doing well.

Went to the hematology appointment last Wednesday. Blood work came back pretty good. I am still very anemic, but the pathologist did not find any evidence of bone marrow issues like myeloma or leukemia. I will need to have more iron infusions but just glad that is all. I go to my mom's next week, so I will soon be busy cooking things for dear hubby to eat while I'm gone. It's a challenge to to think of what to fix. Weight just bouncing around between 134 and 135.

I've procrastinated long enough. Time to face the music. Don't know why I can't get rid of the 5 pounds I picked up last year. On Wednesday I go see a hematologist. Even after the 4 iron infusions my blood work doesn't look right. I feel okay. I go the last week of June to stay with my mom. She seem to be about the same. When I stayed with her last month I thought she had declined a little from the month before. So anxious to see what I think this time. Harder for my brother and sister to tell the difference since they see her every day the other 3 weeks of the month. Wish I lived closer so I could do more.

Had a lovely mother's day with my son's family all gathered here at the Funnyfarm. Even my oldest grandchild who lives half way across the country was here. They stopped in town and picked up carry out, so no cooking done here. Hope you all had a mother's day as good as mine.

Haven't checked in for awhile. Just got home from spending 10 days with my Momma. She still can't stay alone since her stroke in December. Beginning to wonder if she ever will. We continue to work on excercises that PT and OT left for us to follow. Last Sunday we gathered for graveside services for my beloved sister. She has been gone almost 3 months and it continues to hard to believe that we will never see each other again this side of Paradise. On a positive note I've managed to peel off a couple of those pesky pounds I picked up in Texas last year. Now to keep them off! Wishing a lovely Mother's Day for all you mommas out there.
