I don't feel as though I have lost any weight this week. I am trying to prepare myself for the scale on Saturday. Although, I got my act together on Monday as far as my eating goes; I did some major damage on Saturday and Sunday. I have not been in ketosis for about three weeks so today I decided to test myself. I think that the stick was showing that I have a trace amount of ketones. Usually when I go to weigh-in I have a trace amount. It never seems to be too high. I am happy for that.
I am a bit anxious about the weigh in. I know, I know, that is not unusual for me and likely others, but you know how it is when you know you have started to work hard with maintaining your eating and exercise??? You want to see the results. As sad as this sounds, I really do have to prepare myself early for what the scale might do. Deep breath, exhale, deep breath again.

I have been making bullet proof coffee for the last two days, but I have been eating breakfast with it. I am unsure if I am defeating the purpose, but I have to eat. I have been going to crossfit at 5:15 a.m. and I believe I need to have some protein afterwards and not just coffee if I don't want to lose muscle. Today I added a tablespoon of heavy whipping cream and a smidge of cinnamon and the coffee was yummy.
I am hoping for a good result on the scale this week. I have been drinking water this week so hopefully, I will at least lose some of the water weight.

I am getting back in the saddle. I am going to write down what I eat, try and stay below 20 carbs and I will be doing crossfit 5 days a week. I have a question about BULLETPROOF COFFEE.
Do those of you who drink bulletproof coffee drink it as your breakfast or do you eat breakfast with it? Do you prefer MCT oil with the grass fed butter? Grass fed ghee? Or do you find that coconut oil is fine?
Today I had a cup with a tablespoon of coconut oil and a tablespoon of Kerry gold butter. I am going to try it tomorrow with MCT oil that I intend on picking up today.

Weight is a tricky little sucker. So, I went to the Chinese buffet last night and weighed in this morning. Here is the breakdown and why I'm okay with what seems like a very serious gain:
1. My water retention is up 2.4 lbs (expected)
2. I lost a pound of fat
4. I gained about a pound of muscle
5. The remainder of weight gain was a couple of ounces.
