Doctor appointment today, the 28th. It is now after midnight, 29th already. Decided to go in for blood testing after having so much leg pain after my carb soaked weekend at the resort (mentioned in a previous post) a few weekends ago.
Good news: not pre-diabetic anymore, LDL mildly elevated but not as high, blood pressure within normal range. I do suffer from "white coat anxiety" :) All good across the board except an "abnormal" EKG. Whatever that means. Now I have to go for a stress test this Friday. Well...that's enough to stress me out!! And I have to get a mammogram the same day because told I have been avoiding it too long and it is the soonest they could get them scheduled. The last time I got a mammogram a small mass was found, biopsied, turned out to be benign. Wasn't fun.
Doc was happy to see the weight loss. Must be doing something right :) Last time I was there I weighed 250 which was in 2011. As you can see I wait a long time between dr. visits. Got to do better.
DD bought subs for dinner at 9:30 pm. Mine was a 12" Italian sub with all the fixings. Had already eaten a McD fish sandwich for breakfast/lunch at 3:00 pm. Ate half of the sub saving the other half for lunch tomorrow. After my epic doctor appt I'll call it a treat. You know like the lollipop kids used to get :D I love it when I get to eat with my family.

So close to breaking the 2s barrier. Next weigh-in will do it.
One day, I had fasted all day because we were going to have a big cookout at the campground with the usual grilled meats and veggies. Did a few laps in the pool plus other water exercises. Very hungry. DS had brought several pizzas for lunch which I had ignored. Electric went out, nobody wanted to cook because hello there is pizza, bread sticks and all kinds of chips. You can guess the rest. After my weekend the scale showed 219!!! Water retention from all that salt and carbs. Got back on track quickly! End result I still show a loss within my two week timeframe. I know I can work my way back from a short indulge. Onward!
