Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU, for the tips and care. Long story short everything is fine and feeling great. Your comments had me looking at some labels of some what I thought was healthy fiber bars I had and I believe I found the culprit. Lesson learned for sure.

On a more personal reflection note. I think I forget how much trial and error goes along with this process. There is so much information that says "if you eat this it will fix your problem" or "if you don't eat this it will fix your problem ". At the end of the day it's really about what works for the individual person. And really there is not one fix all way to keep a person's body feeling and being healthy. Some of those fiber bars and protein bars are great for many, many people... for me clearly not so much.
I realize I'm preaching to the choir on this. All of you have heard every thing I'm saying today more than once.
I think that's where self realization comes in. You can hear things over and over but if you don't take it in for yourself you'll never really appreciate it.
At the end of the day it's not just my diet... it's my life. I have one and only one chance to make this life as good as I can... not for my boss, my family, or for anyone else... But for myself. My soul is in this shell of mine... not anyone else. So for those rolling their eyes and ignoring this moment that's ok... you'll get it eventually... I did the same thing.
I just hate that it took as much time for me to "get it" as it did. Thankfully I don't believe that part of my time is wasted. I had to learn and experience so much to get me to this point its not even funny.
So thanks again for being so helpful y'all. I really do appreciate it.

Beautifully stated. Sometimes it takes time for us to open our eyes and really "see" what we are doing to ourselves. When I first came here, it was on a whim, I agreed to go on Keto with my sister for her wedding. I thought I would fail, I thought I would give up in the first week and then laugh about it while I gained more weight. I was wrong. It was eyeopening how much trash I was eating, and what I was doing to myself. I am glad you found your "moment" and we will be here with you for all of your milestones and all of your slip ups. We believe in you!!

We are all made up of the total of our experiences. So, maybe the other times you heard information relating to your health you just weren't ready to "get it". I have failed on my journey a 100 times but each time I tried I felt equipped with new information and a new viewpoint. The important thing is to never give up!

We are always learning something new! LOL Some of those bars I can take, some I can’t. I can deal with sweeteners in fairly large amounts, but honey or beet sugar or any naturally occurring sugar sets me back. I’m fine with high fiber low net carb breads and wraps and grain heavy products as long as there are no additives or preservatives. I eat no hydrogenated oils or fats, and no trans fats. No caffeine. Salt and magnesium and potassium are my friends and berries in small servings. LOL I’m learning to love legumes. My ‘keto’ diet has gradually relaxed to incorporate 50g or over of net carbs since I’m so close to goal that I’m experimenting with maintenance habits. This has become a Way of Eating for a Way of Life. 🙋🏻

You are so right! It is very individual. I do two big no no’s everyday. I do not eat breakfast and I have a tall glass of Diet Sierra Mist pop. This works for me, I still lose weight and I’m not going to feel bad about it!
