my knees needed a day off...good mornin fs...both knees are puffy...they was bothering me yesterday but rode anyways..yesterday had to take aleves off an on thru the day..so hopefully a day of rest will be whats needed...to much snacking an not journalin it all...wassnt even hungry when i ate..just in pain...embarrassed by the fact im outta control..so gonna get off the 23 hour fast for a few days ..see if eating 2 meals a day can curb the snacking all day...not even hungry when i snack..its more like s stress eating...like yesterday when i ate..i wasnt hungry..but my knees were killing me.. just got up an outta bed..havent been on them much yet..no pain..the plan today is stay in the recliner as much as possible..use heating pad off an on...keep knees warm..keep the cooler wether off of em...get healed so i can ride....well journal its been fun...need to get up an go an fix my meals for the day...get it over with now..make it easier for later today when i walk..hobble into kitchen to grab salads..

and the odd thing about it all...even though my knees need the rest..i still want to ride...i dont know how to explain it..when i first started riding i rode to save money on gas to run to my moms house early in the mornings...to help her get her support hose on each day an to help her get her day started...now shes gone and i still ride at the same time...an even though its still for fun..its also turned into a competiton to get more rides in thru the month an to get more miles thru the month...to be a better rider..to get more speed which in turn cuts down riding time..and in the end...i get healthier...

Knees, oh no! I can relate. Do you use ice after your ride? Mine is advanced arthritis though. I hope they feel better soon. Knee pain is no fun. No snacking. I'm going to take my own advice as well!

ty lizzie...i put some stuff called active on ..on em...an get off em as much as possible...got all my chores done yesterday when knees was hurting so i could enjoy today...

WBH - have you tried glucosammine sulphate? I have osteoarthritis and couldn't live without it. 1000 mg a day. I've added in chondroitin sulphate 400 mg a day. Really helped my knees and all other joints actually.
