Sarah1950's Journal, 18 Jun 16

Bill Cosby has been my hero for many many years.
I lost my adult daughter the same month Bill lost his adult son.
His " carrying on" helped me to get through some very tough dark days of my life. I realize now it was his "marketed" personality that I idealized, not him, the man. I am heartbroken to hear the garbage about him now. But I can honestly say that most men, in my day, have been trying to get into someone's pants for forty or fifty years. I'm not defending or condoning Bills behavior, but I know that the sexual revolution took us all by surprise. What was right or wrong took a wide swing on the pendulum.

With that said, I have a new hero: Judge Judith Schindler. Pray that she doesn't come out of the "closet of immorality" and completely destroy my trust in the world.
Lastly, Google judge Judy in bikini....at seventy one years old she rocks.

Every time I hear Michael Jackson music that I like and which was from my youth, I immediately think, "Pedophile!" which instantly ruins the song for me.

The sad point is, many are in jail for rape for the rest of their lives. Because Bill Cosby is famous, he kind of gets a pass. I don't really believe that is fair. The Jackson thing is even more complicated and grey in my eyes. Kid's families trying to make money. It's a tough world out there to figure out for anyone. I am hugely, political to my soul. I hate seeing all the injustice.

Thanks for your comments. All are welcome. As for Michael Jackson, I to, loved his music although it was more geared to my teenage daughters. We bonded through the music of their day and spent many memorable afternoons in the music stores trying to decide how to spend their allowances. You are right, I can't hear anything by Jackison without cringing. As Warren says, injustice... But who's justice is it? So I hope my point was made here, I'm not really sure who's zoomin whom. Nor do I care. But am l, today, living each day with a sence of morality. A Zen like calmness? Or am I setting myself up for another disappointment that will send me scurrying for comfort food. I know this might not be the platform here at FS, but Christina gave me the idea to post to my journal with my thoughts/ dilemmas.
