Worked a double shift yesterday and was alert and energetic until the 15 hour mark, when I sort of ran out of gas and had to struggle to stay on task and focus.
Was able to walk up and down stairs without using the handrail. Last month, I HAD to use the rail to support part of my weight with my upper body. That in itself was a breaking point for me. I remember thinking that I will break my bones if I get any bigger. I still can't walk properly because my foot muscles are too weak to push off with each step. This puts more strain on my hips.
The thing is that I WAS bigger at one point, with 296 my highest weight. I didn't feel disabled back then, but I was younger, and perhaps suffered some muscle wasting from weight loss attempts along the way.
Anyway, going to the zoo today with grandkids. Will have good breakfast and pack juice for lunch.
