In a bit of a funk today, not bad, but there. Yesterday was my 3rd fasting day. My first week I lost 3 pounds and they stayed off, last week I didn't lose anything and was up and down all week long, this week I gained a pound! What the heck?? The daily fluctuations of the idiot box don't usually bother me, but this is discouraging. Darn it!!

Very frustrating! As you say, fluctuations, probably water, masking your loss. It will show up in a day or two, I'm sure!

Watch how much artificial sweetener you get - that makes me gain weight while fasting. I found this out the hard way. And they even put maltodextrin in the Stevia. I go to the herb shop and purchase both powdered and liquid stevia, just plain stevia.

When you look at your weight loss a year from now, it will look like a long straight line....however it is not that linear, it has ups...downs....flat lines... Stay the course...

Shaking things up with your food is bound to shake things up. Sometimes good, sometimes less so. Don't lose heart, you are still on the downward path, you can see the line on the graph. Stay cool, don't let this play with your mind. Smile, we all feel better when we smile... doesn't change the scales, but it changes how we feel about it. :)

SheaDlady-no sweetener yesterday, my herbal teas taste sweet enough by themselves. Another benefit of getting sugar(I'm not even eating fruit at this point) out of my system, the natural sweetness of things really comes thru.

The best way not to get discouraged with the weight going up and down all week is to only get on the scales when it is time to post your weight here. For me that is a Friday morning. My wife weighs herself once every couple of months.

I don't mind fasting but it really doesn't do much for me for losing ,, if I do lose I gain it right back . So I don't bother with full fast . I still fast daily ,, mainly because I amnot hungry and don't believe in force feeding myself . Basically I eat when I am hungry .
