Diana thank you! A strong core is so important as we age for simple things like walking and lifting objects. I will be 64 in 33 days so I am really trying to focus on being the healthiest version of me.

Thank you each and every one of you for the positive uplifting comments. ( I deleted the comment that was trying to give me some unsolicited advice). I joined FS May 22 thinking I was at the end of my journey to better health because I lost the weight. So many of you ( older ladies around my age lol) reminded me of something that I already knew. Low body weight means nothing without having physical health. So I ramped up the daily exercise part and since have lost an additional 15 lbs. I have never been about the number on the scale or the image in the mirror because those are false predictors and don’t represent your health. Mid section body fat is unhealthy and a strong core midsection means more physical abilities and independence. I am not looking for muscle definition like a 6 pack just core strength. The NSV is it looks kinda sexy. Lol.

Very true what you wrote. I’ve been on my journey, so that when I am 90 I can still get up and down from sitting on the floor, get in and out of the bathtub, do my own housework, cook, drive, etc….you get the point I’m sure because I think we have the same goals. And core strength is very important to do all of those things. Kudos to you. I’ll be 50 in May and feel better than I did in my 30s and early 40s. 👍🏻🏋🏻♀️

So true Wifey and that should be the goal. Not to chase a label size in your clothes, a number on the scale, a high school, marriage or any other historical weight. I have had many and looking back to the past is gone. It’s about the future.❤️

Honeebuns, when I first saw your photo, I thought it was the body of a much younger lady. Kudos on finding your waist & even better finding a healthier you 😊 My journey was similar to yours. I met my goal weight, then decided I really needed to work on fitness. I've lost more weight all while being able to eat more in maintenance.

I think the most enjoyable thing about this journey is finding things like this. I’ve lost a lot in my neck area and can feel my collarbone when I never was able to. I think that’s what keeps us going
