Last call for the BBB&E 30 day challenge. That's a deep elimination diet to reboot carnivore style. Only beef, butter, bacon and eggs. High protein, high fat, 0 carbs and no allergens. We're going to try it out and see how we feel.

I’m all for keto or vegan or anything if it makes it so you can adhere to easily. But to make claims that calories doesn’t matter. Then you have absurdity. Right? There’s your push back. To say that it makes you more satiated therefore you eat less calories. Then that I can agree with. Like what zenus explained. There was no mockery on my part. I even said it on my first comment that I wasn’t trying to mock anyone. It’s just a good opportunity to learn. And still someone got their feelings hurt 🤷🏾‍♂️

Lololol! @Russell, I can see the humor in that one, trust and believe that I can laugh at mysef and I do it often! @Super, I'm sorry I took offense to your comment. The way I read it was incorrect. I took it in the wrong context instead of a real quest for information.

@TJ, thanks for that, but Russell is correct, I was flying off the handle. I should hace read Supers comment a little closer and understood it completely before I responded.

Yea I think it was layne Norton that says it best. “Don’t worship your woe like a religion” Even science changes all the time. Science is only as right as the person trying to prove it. So even tho I think it’s absurd to make those claims. There still might be a possibility! And if you give me that opportunity to find out, I would take it. If you tell me, you guys have a keto or vegan group that puts on slabs of muscles. Then I would look into it and if I see enough evidence in it I will even try it too.

@Super you probably have something there, and if there was really any way to correlate the data and determine that the data entered was accurate it probably would be a pretty good study. but breaking it down into two groups you would have to have more or less equal numbers in order to compare. each person would have to be in similar health and or physical condition that's not something that you can really do here, sorry for the lack of capitalization and punctuation but I'm voice typing. I think basically all you would have to do to determine that is to look at somebody's results and compare them to their food diary one of the things that Zen mentioned was the calorie deficit that occurs when you're burning ketones. it's actually a real thing because since we finished the 7-Day fast my goal of a $2,200 RDI I can't get close to it you're welcome to go look at my food diary and see of course you're not going to see anything right this minute cuz I'm fasting but the previous four days that I ate after breaking the 7-Day fast I got full I wasn't hungry I had no cravings still don't to me that is perfection

Yea it would be hard to match everyone’s health n age. But even if only some of the surplus group lost weight then you still have something. Then you look into whether they’re entering the information correctly. You can even do the same experiment to see if you still have some that loses on a surplus. And if you do then you try to correlate the similarities. It’s not hard proof but if they are entering their calories correctly and still shows a loss, it’s something. For hard proof would be to look into the kind of weight that they lost but that’s beyond our normal people experiment

Well and so I understand the larger your surplus the larger you're loss and of course you've also got those that's been carrying it for many years like myself which makes it a little bit more dense probably a little bit harder to get loose well they're going on the challenge the data is going to be there I'm not doing it with them this time because I'm trying to follow my own advice and make changes slower until they become a habit before I add new stuff on so that's where I'm at there I'm going to be cheering them on and looking at their results so well we'll just have to see

Nice to see that you are open minded, Super! 🙂 https://youtube.com/shorts/SZDhyPnwJ6A?feature=share

There are several body builders who use keto on YouTube... https://youtu.be/9BV7InDUBNE

I'm not expecting my results to be as 🔥 as someone new to the ketogenic diet, because they will likely flush TONS (depending on their inflammation marker) of water weight in the beginning.

@Super... If nothing else, maybe you could try it for your cut... 🙂

Anthony Chaffee MD mentions that long term fasting isn’t so necessary on carnivore. So do other carnivore people. I’m very intrigued by the carnivore way and have thought about eventually trying it. I lost my weight by doing low carb. Good luck to you guys! I’m intrigued! And as far as getting fat on carnivore, I’ve only heard of weight loss, however, other things are mentioned like not eating ENOUGH or balancing the protein & fat (too much fat you’ll get the runs not enough constipation), or making sure to replenish your electrolytes.

I was wondering what BBB&E stood for....I think my heart would stop if I did this!💔 It's not used to all that fatty food! Good luck to you guys...💜💜💜

Yes, what does the BBB&E stand for?

Beef, Bacon, Butter & Eggs

Thanks, Storms & Diana! 🙂 @Storms... weight loss is not the only benefit of fasting. There is also autrophagy. Autrophagy begins faster for someone already in ketosis also. So, it's a win, win.

Now that I'm on my desktop, I see your 4th and 5th comment Super, that I did not see earlier. I have always weighed and measured my food and counted calories. Fasting reduces hunger because we are eating our own fat, but I count calories to make sure that when I do eat, I eat enough. Even in Keto, not everyone does it the same way. LOL According to Precision Nutrition I am supposed to consume 2,654 calories per day with a macro breakdown of 70% fat, 20% protein, and 10% carbs. There is NO WAY I could eat 2,654 calories of Whole real food in one day. I could do it eating doughnuts, I could do it if I ate icecream. But real food, meat, veggies and fruits. So, the simple density of high fat food and high protein food inhibit a person's ability to eat to a surplus. You ever tried eating a 16 oz prime rib.? I did and I managed to eat about 10 ounces of it and I could not manage to eat any of the sides. That was a total of about 750 calories. So, it's hard to eat 2,000 calories of pure meat as opposed to things like a Double Whopper with Cheese which equals 1061 calories.

Well, it's an experiment. We'll see how it goes. I pretty much started today with eggs and butter for breakfast, steak for lunch and liver for dinner. Definitely not fasting. Another yard work morning tomorrow, I should be super-fueled!

@Erika Cool beans! I hope it goes well for you so maybe I can try it for 30 days, but I'm concerned I will derail my progress right now. I gotta get comfortable doing what I'm doing before I go messing about with things. I've come a long ways in two short months. You just hit a plateau, I fell off the boat for two years so I don't want to lose my momentum where I am at right now.
