*Sings in her head* I lost a pound....I lost a pound...330's here I come!

If I lose a pound I am offically in the 330's! The very late 330's but I'll be there nonetheless! It's very exciting because I don't think that I have seen that number in years! Still about 5 to 7 more pounds before I go down another size. That will be a very exciting day. I may have to throw a party!

We finally got our EBT card for food stamps. Of course, now that Michael has a job it's prety pointless to keep going to the appointments. I'm pretty sure that now we make over it. But it was wonderfull to get just that one payment. I don't think our pantry has EVER been this full! And....I did make sure to get some healthy things that were sweet. Chex mix and Fit n Active treats from Alidi's. I also have a book that mama gave me. It has three sections. One for 100 calorie snacks, one for 200 calorie desserts (fricking sweet!) and 300 calorie meals. Michael is looking through it right now to see if there is stuff that he would like. So far he has shown me about 10 or 11 pages of stuff he wants....I'm thinking success!

Tonight for dinner is a spur of the moment thought out marinade. Has garlic and onion in it...and my personal favorite SALT! so I hope that it will be good. I don't know how to track a marinade though....cause you definitely don't use all of it on one piece of chicken..but it's still on there...help?

Well for marinades, I treat them similar to BBQ sauce... I just guess how much actually stayed on - like a tsp-tbsp is usually what I guess for chicken because it's not flat like steak... but it's a judgement call and it really depends on what your base is... if all it was, was garlic, onion & salt, then there's minimal calories, but if it has a sauce with it then there may be calories you'd want to record... and oh, BTW... Congrats on the weight loss! You're so close to the 330s! WOOOHOOOO!

Hey Bekka. Great job on the weight loss. I have been on vacation for a few weeks. I am glad you have healthy food in the pantry. People say you can't eat healthy on food stamps because of the cost of fresh food. I think you can, you just have to moderate and shop around. I am glad Michael has a decent job now. Stay motivated. You are doing super.
