Today's fasting blood sugar number is 6.5 mmol/L

I'm in recovery mode for the next couple of days both mentally and physically. Two doctor visits in a week let alone one, burns me out. But the news is good from both fronts (GP & Endo. Doc).

A1C a year ago was 9.4. Current bloodwork now says 6.7. I am now approx. 20 lbs lighter than I was 5 months ago as per Endo. Doc but in reality I am now 35 lbs lighter than I was a year ago as per GP. Most of my bloodwork came back as being normal except for my good HDL; that's low and my Triglycerides; that's high. Endo. Doc wants me to think about allowing a cholesterol drug being added in which is for life but I think it's way too early for that. He did say my HDL did increase a wee bit so yeah, it's known as working and reworking my diet. That, plus I have other metabolic issues still being looked at.

Blood pressure was extremely high at last Endo. visit and is now down considerably. But at my GP visit it came in at 120/80 - dead, bang normal! Chronic anxiety & stress do it every, single time with me and apparently the Endo. visit triggers it.

My GP is extremely happy with my results so far. My Endo. Doc was not expecting the results I've achieved. In fact, I've surpassed his expectations. If I keep on the road I'm on with my diet and balancing my blood work, in the future we may look at reducing my Janumet!

Challenge Accepted!!
