Fasting Blood Sugar today is: 6.7 mmol/L

Tomorrow is weigh in day for me but I suspect that there won't be any changes. Every time I adjust my diet or go back into the proper low-carb mode, I deal with carb flu. And it usually last for a couple of weeks. Brain fog is the worst of it but I am dealing with it affecting some of my other health issues. Meh...this too shall pass.

Positive note - I think I am going to try to make myself some gluten-free Swiss Steak. I haven't made it in years. I'm trying to distance myself from cornstarch so I will have to check my "flour" section in my kitchen for a substitute. I love to experiment while cooking so it will be interesting how I thicken up the liquid part.

what is this "carb flu" you speak of? 🤔 my doctor didn't want me to eliminate too many things in my diet, for fear that my body may react badly.. but I already felt pretty bad so I cut out gluten, dairy and sugar all at once and felt better almost instantly.. 🤷‍♀️ perhaps this is just how my DNA wanted me to be eating all along and that's why I had no such reaction? idk, but it's fascinating to me.
