First weekend out on making some positive changes and I'm feeling good. I watched out on my breakfast, watched as my family had french toast and I had eggs, turkey sausage and fruit. I didn't even mooch not one piece of french toast. That's a lot of control for me. And a big step in the right direction. The more I practice getting better, I find a new level of confidence. It makes me feel like I am finally getting in control of my food rather than having my food control me. It's a whole new world; really. So, much of my growing up has been about a daily plate-to-plate; meal-by-meal process that actually having control that I feel like I've never had before is... empowering. I'm not saying I have the tiger by the tail on a down hill pull but, what I do have to me, is much more important. Resolve. To know that I know, that I know I WILL SUCCEED. No if's and's or But's about it. I am going to do this.... I have 9 weeks until I am going on vacation. To the beach. This is a good time to grab the bull by the horns. I CANNOT let this momentum go. I must press on. Will, I be "perfect" at the beach, what's "perfect"? If I go healthier, happier, and fitter with my self when I Do go, then I AM going to be MY version of perfect at the beach. And that's the goal, really. Isn't it? I hope to start my Couch to 5k this week. I think an evening run on the on the beach would be a good way to celebrate my accomplishments. To be able to actually, do it because I can. To do something I've never done before. It's 9 weeks to vacation and it takes 9 weeks to complete the plan. Challenge Accepted.
