Healthy good for you food doesn't have to be tasteless and boring!! Made this northern Indian curry chicken for dinner (will have leftovers for the week) it smells amazing! Tastes really good also. Eating it with a Bob's Mill wild rice/ brown rice mix cooked in bone broth instead of water. Low carb.. cauliflower instead. YUM!! Not sure about the calories yet as I have to put it in my cookbook. The recipe is in the forum on the it's not a diet it's a lifestyle group.

That sounds great. I love curries and Indian, Thai, and Nepalese food. How do I find that forum? I tried using search in both FS and google, but had no luck.

Jeri.... ditto to what sw21204 said. I couldn't find it either. Also, do you have a recipe for bone broth. My grandmother used to do it and I can't remember her recipe.

I have been on an Italian kick but I may have to try some curries after reading about your latest dishes. The boys are gluten free now so I am struggling to get some flavor into their stuff. The rice flours suck the flavor out of everything I swear.

As usual, your journal is making me hungry! I make twice baked cauliflower all the time but have never tried the rice. Guess I need to! Hope you are feeling better!

Kathy, recipe for bone broth is from Hippogrammie, a couple pounds of bones (I used beef dog bones from the meat counter, they were cheap) an onion, a few pieces of celery,a couple bay leaves, a couple carrots scrubbed and broken to fit the pot. A big pot a bunch of water, let simmer a couple hours. Strain, stick in frig, skim off the fat, season with salt and pepper if you want.

It's a group not a forum. Click on community and go to groups. it's a lifestyle not a diet..'hasn't been very active so trying to bring it back up. Ann most of my recipes don't have share on them as they are pretty sketchy in my cookbook, it's hard to get them even close to making sense with the measurements converting to servings etc. Will be more than happy to share any. Nichol, try barley or garbanzo bean flour. Barley is more like a white flour, adds nice crispy crunch when fried, garbanzo bean is earthy with a bit if a beany taste. I think they would both be considered gluten free, there is also coconut flour (on my list to try)

Sounds close to how I cook chicken backs and necks for soups. Will check out the recipe for the curry chicken. Thanks.

Jeri, I joined the group. Thanks for the invitation. The chicken recipe looks yummy so I will have to copy it. Your new profile pic is so sweet. You look much younger than you mentioned in the past. :)

sounds really good. I have been adding ground flaxmeal to my brown rice for extra fiber with some ground ginger and garlic. It takes a bit more water but I love it with mixed vegetables.

Deb, I was 61 there, I feel much younger now!! LOL Midnighttoil, I use ground flaxseed in my morning smoothies, 1 TBS of whole seeds and also in my homemade whole grain/seed bread instead of adding oil. It would take a bit more water adding ground fax to rice but it would taste good. Some toasted ground sesame seed would also be yummy.
