Last day before vacation and I spent it in the ER. About 12 miles into a 30 mile bike ride this morning I slid on a slimy spot on a bridge in the middle of a hard left turn. My front tire blew off the rim when it hit the pavement at the end of the bridge My helmet took most of the blow, but I cut my nose and forehead. My left shin, knee and thigh are missing a lot of skin, as is my left elbow. More serious is the rib and shoulder damage and my left wrist, which will be immobilized for at least a month. Oh well, vacations are for rest and recuperation, so that's what I'll be doing for the month of July now. I don't know why this loaded upside down, it's correct in the computer. Just another glitch in this long, long day.
