Happy 'Warm-Up' Weekend!💪😎

Not only do I hope the weather has 'warmed up' for you wherever you live, but I hope you remember to do 'warm-ups' before you exercise. I found these graphics that talk about why it's important to both warm up & then cool down after exercise. Our bodies are pretty amazing, if we just give them what they need! The right fuel, the right upkeep, the right amount of rest & hydration and that extra dose of TLC called self-care💙 If we're consistent...our bodies reward us with energy, vitality, health & stamina.

Right now, the warm-ups are actually enough exercise for me! If I did several sets of them + my housework/yardwork, I'd be doing pretty good! Maybe do the warm-ups with resistance bands or light weights after the first set🤔👍

Anyway, I hope this post is a friendly reminder (as it is to me also) to take the few extra minutes before & after a workout, to insure against injury. Enjoy the rest of your weekend my friends! I'm rootin for your success!!

Happy Saturday CJ. It has warmed up here. And the wind has died down which I love. I have to admit I do not warm up before anything. I am not very intense in my exercising so that may be why. I like stretches after I am warmed up best (but I am not an expert in what is right)

@liv001...👋 hope your weekend is going well! Stretching after your workout is good (aka cooldown)😊 My workouts are not 'intense' either...but we've still gotta be careful, my friend🤗💙

I always warm up on treadmill or elliptical. Gotta get my body loose and ready for those weights.

@EricRN...I apologize for the quality of the graphics. There doesn't seem to be a way for me to post them with any better clarity (with my limited tech knowledge). I have actually gotten out my magnifying glass to better see some images on this app🧐
