Limited success reducing my daily calorie intake (to 1500 from last month’s estimated 2200.) Currently at 1864/day for this month. I must admit, I’m disappointed - but, on the bright side, that’s still an accumulated reduction for this month of over 10,000 calories. I just have to keep trying, and see what it the daily intake reads at the end of April. (Nobody said this would be easy!)

You got this! Just another pothole to traverse, we all know it isn’t a smooth sailing course we are on, yet one we all can finish for we are worth that effort. 😊

so that's a 700 cal drop. I think 1800 makes more sense for tour body. another thing which you could try is cyle the days . So 1800 one day 1500 the next two then another 1800 this will get you used to the 1500 days but not push your body to that edge where it's too much too quick. If you shot for 4low and 3 at 1800 you would still reduce 1200 cals a week compared to your current intake

Danyelle24; that’s a good suggestion; thank you. 1800 is “maintenance” for me, anything more puts me right back on the road to weight gain. I can lose - albeit slowly - at 1500 - 1600; but sticking to it seems to be getting harder and harder to do.

I hear you! Higher cal days can also be planned when you know there will be more activities or if you plan to do anything like dinners or be social. This also helps in making it work since you won't feel like you're missing out on things .

The 1500 calorie set point. I have attempted to keep to the 1500 calories per day with reasonable success. Since October 25, 2021 to present, I have lost 30 lbs. Along with walking 8 kms per day (most days), the excerise helps but does not contribute to my weight loss. An interesting read is "The Obesity Code". It gives an insight into the body's reaction to calorie reductions. Stay the course and you will succeed.

Your weight loss journey is inspirational. Your goal is so close, so happy for you! With the knowledge you have and the help/suggestions of the FS family you Will Succeed in no time! My tip I use when reducing my calories is to add in extra negative or low calorie foods so I don't feel like I'm depriving myself. But keep my caloric intake higher on the killer work days 🏋️‍♂️ Stay safe, strong and committed Grandmalaura! 💪🥦🥬🍅🍇💪
