Experiment: I went back to basic induction for 3 days and the scale still didn't move. So am going in the other direction. Starting last night, I'm adding small servings of nuts and fruit - choosing lowest carb with highest nutritian. Will try to keep carbs around 30 and calories around 1,600.

Hey Buffy - did you take your measurements when you started, you know how I've been battling with the scales these last two weeks, well I measured myself and I have lost one and a half inches of my waist and two off my hips! Maybe our bodies do a bit of a pause on the weight side when they are adjusting in size.....

For some, it takes much more than 3 days... good luck in OWL, though. You might want to review the basics of OWL on atkins.com or in one of the books, as you are adding back out of sequence and too much too fast. Just sayin'...

On measurments - no, never did. But I'm wearing some of my jeans that I couldn't have worn last month. Love it.

I agree with Triaby that sometimes our bodies just take a bit of a pause, but as long as you're getting smaller, try your best to ignore that number on the scale (I have a hard time doing that, but it's something to keep in mind, right?). Paula is also right....be careful in OWL. As for me, I know that MIMs slow my weight loss. I don't know what it is about them or what ingredient does it, but I can only eat them when I'll be OK with my loss slowing wa-a-a-y down! And, don't forget, you HAVE lost 4 pounds in about a month and that's absolutely in line with what should be happening in OWL. I keep telling myself that if I'm losing about a pound every week or so, perhaps that will help my skin adjust so I won't have so many extra bags and folds when I get "done!" Have a good weekend.

Jsfantome - I'll listen to your advice any time. This is just an experiment. There have been a few posts that this works. If it doesn't I'll need to go back and try induction (with a few tweeks).

Sandy - I suspected the MIM's too! I've been making them much smaller (in regular muffin papers) but maybe should go back to my hard boiled egg for breakfast instead. Thanks for all the encouragement.

start with extra veggies.. I know everybody wants to get to the 'good stuff' they've been missing, but you need to allow your body to adjust to the slow incremental increases. Nuts are tricky for some, as they can be consumed in large quanities before you realize you have just ingested 10g's of carbs and about 500 calories! After the veggies.. then move on to fruit. One fruit from the OWL list per week, go slowly... it'll keep your losses continuing. Too much too fast and you will stall out. And if you do have to go back to Induction, give yourself a good solid 7-10 days before you weigh again, and then see if there is any change. Oh, and don't forget your water. All day, Every day, Non-negotiable!
