TXSnowman's Journal, 05 Jul 14

Wow! I just watched a great "TED Talk" by Dr. Mark Mattson. The talk is called "Why fasting bolsters brain power". Mark Mattson is the current Chief of the Laboratory of Neurosciences at the National Institute on Aging. He is also a professor of Neuroscience at The Johns Hopkins University. Mattson is one of the foremost researchers in the area of cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

He shows and explains the scientific evidence showing that intermittent fasting improves all parts of the human body including the brain and explains why. In this talk, he also discusses the positive benefits of ketones and ketogenic diets.

I highly recommend this video to anyone trying to lose weight and improve their physical and mental health.
