Good morning buddies!Thank you everyone for always commenting on my journals. It is greatly appreciated, and always a big help to know I'm not alone in whatever struggles I'm facing. Today we evict the Nellies and the Nancy's. When I finally grow a pair and buy a summer dress I will most definitely be sharing pictures, looking forward to it. Yesterday I wore shorts! I felt naked lol, but I wore shorts. Hooray!! I got home from work and my husband immediately commented that he liked my shorts, even he noticed lol.
The kittens are well, Meg. Thank you for asking! All five are officially eating soft foods on their own and using the litter box, but lord in heaven are they messy! I have to basically hose them down after every feeding. I hope they improve their eating and self cleaning skills asap. After loads of research and thorough examination I have determined without a shadow of a doubt that I have three boys and two girls. One of the girls is the runt, and happens to look exactly like her mom in coloring. Mom was also very very small. She may have to stay with me in place of the mom I couldn't save, as well as her brother who I hand picked to keep the day my husband brought them to me. Soon I will be the crazy cat lady lol. But they will be spayed/neutered, just as my one year old cat Bella is. I'm a big supporter of controlling the cat population, if more people were perhaps their mom wouldn't have been in such a dire situation. Enough Bob Barker'ing :-) I'll move on lol
Yesterday I got a power hour in at the gym, which was just forty five minutes on the elliptical. I kicked it's ass, and left with my shirt soaked... yuck! I found it hilariously ironic that as I was leaving my friend Judy was at the front desk, cancelling her membership. Too funny, but I agree with her decision. If you're not going to use it don't pay for it. Unfortunately being a member of a gym doesn't burn the extra calories lol. If only it were that easy! I didn't get any strength training in, so I might go back today. We will see. ATF were on point yesterday, and I intend the same today. I have been using these high fiber low carb tortillas to make wraps, and they have done wonders for my regularity. Sorry if that's TMI, but I know a lot of people struggle with that.
This morning I have a meeting with financial aid for nursing school after I drop the lil one off at preschool. I still have to bathe him, and five kittens. Non stop action around here!
Saturday night I had an honest conversation with my husband about how I don't feel like he puts forth enough effort to help me, or do thoughtful things for me. I told him over and over all week that the only day we would have to ourselves was Saturday (before mother's day) but he spent the whole day at his dads and I spent the day alone. I was a tad upset. It ended up being a well needed open conversation, no argument, and he agreed that he would feel the same as I if the roles were reversed. He has done the dishes for me every night since lol. I do need the help, and I have greatly appreciated it. I hope it sticks!
Counting down the days to father's day, can't wait for our camping trip. My husband and I are contemplating moving down to southern ohio after I graduate from nursing school. I kind of just want something that's mine, if that makes any sense. My husband and I were married down there, in Hocking hills, and I would love to live down there. Long time before that comes to fruition, but it's nice to daydream about.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!!
