Sunday! What a weekend! Busy as usual, and still below 160 which is good considering my lack of focus.
Thursday night I went dancing (with Woody). Friday, day work was lots of paperwork, evening tax work was ok, not too bad. Worked Saturday, supposedly til noon, but then I got an "easy" client so figured I'd be out by 12:30, only to spend two hours on a return! They had every form in the book. 5 jobs. a house, a rental, a business. They were great though, and stuck with me even though I had a couple of glitches.
Then I came home to clean up for party, went to Woody's for dinner and got home around midnight. Today I set up my new tv (it still doesn't work), cleaned some more, finally took down the tree, hung around with our friend Rose, went shopping with Woody and made dinner for coop - I have so much food leftover it's ridiculous! But dinner was fun. I made mushroom soup, banana bread, rhubarb bread, baked potatoes, and roasted sweet potatoes, and salad. Then toppings: peanut sauce, black bean sauce, raisins, nuts, broccoli, cheddar cheese, and some other things in little containers from the store. Everyone was impressed! I am stuffed but dinner was meatless so the calories shouldn't be too bad.
My latest brain drain: thinking about buying a butter-yellow 1995 Mustang convertible. I know a guy who has to sell it and when he was telling me about it, my heart started pounding. Not sure why, except that I always wanted a cool car and this car would definitely be cool. Coincidentally one of the coop people bought a Mustang this week too! Also a convertible. What do you think? I can afford it, except if you amortize it over the time I can drive it (snowless months only!) it is a pretty expensive car! I will probably call the guy tomorrow and buy it. Crazy, right? I have always been drawn to cool cars - I had a 1968 Dodge Coronet 440 with a 325 cc (?) engine, my ex had a 1967 red convertible, an old boyfriend had a little two seater Fiat, and then when trucks came out I and my boyfriend (1980?) got matching Chevy S10 pickups. Anyway - maybe I don't need another car. But I think this purchase won't be about need!
Hope you had a good weekend!
