All of the houses on this street were built in the early 1910-20s. Craftsman homes. They were ordered by size and model from the SEARS catalogue and came as a kit. The kits included every single item needed to build the house including the nails and paint. All of the hundreds of rose bushes on the street are old heritage roses that have fabulous, very powerful aromas. The trees on each side of the streets are so big that their branches meet in the middle of the street and create nice shade cover. Most of the houses are single story, 2 bedroom about 1400 sf. Some are 2 story, 3 bedroom and maybe 1600 sf. The going price is typically 1- 1.5 million dollars.

We are loving the clouds. Not something we have often but we have had about a months worth now. Nice lukewarm temperature perfect foe walking and hiking.

Kenna, you don't have May gray/June gloom up there? I will never complain about it, but it's a long overcast period we seem to have on the coast every year.

Oh this is so cool, Kenna! Thank you for sharing! I have a rich, coral colored bush about to open that looks similar to the rose in the third picture down. Only one of my plants came with the house, and all my other roses I have collected. They don't all smell amazing, but the combined fragrance when they are mostly all blooming together is pretty lovely. I got most of my bushes from an older guy at a farmers market over the span of five years. It is cool to have unique and older varieties.

Mellissatwa— every time I see beautiful blooms I think of yours. K. Edwards—- I wish I could claim these beauties as my own but I see these when I walk.

Katsolo. — traditionally we had some June glom, but the last 5 years or so the gray Skies have been in May and then Slam— full blown summer till mid October.
