melissatwa's Journal, 17 Mar 21

Last summer I was feeling so good and so strong and was managing my maintenance so well. Now I feel a bit like these newly pruned and sad looking sticks. I know the potential in those bare and spiky rose canes. They will bloom and produce again like last summer. There is an analogy here for all of us... well, I am holding onto it for me anyway! New days bring new challenges and new rewards. I can't wait for my bushes to bloom again... but I can only wait. I have to work for the changes in me.

Changing is hard! We always want a quick fix. I just saw a post about patience. I get frustrated when I don’t see changes quickly enough. This is another great reminder today that we need more patience and to let things happen naturally in their own time. Thanks!

Thank you, Kat! Things are looking up! Sk, your meals make me jealous! Trade? Thank you for your encouragement! Sherry, things have been so rough, but I finally feel like I can breathe! Things don't have to be totally "fixed," but when help is on the way and progress is being made, it takes away so much worry and strain!

Hiker. I wish I knew the name. Sorry! That is actually a really unique rose. If you look in the bouquet, the small buds are from that bush. It has quite little flowers, and the petals are red on the outside and white on the inside. That gives it the pinkish look. I specifically give this bush Epson salt "dressing" on the soil. It seems to help the red stay more rich in color rather than getting "washed out" as the season progresses! ! 🌹 🌹🌹

Thank you, Vicki! Augusta, yes, sometime we wait and sometimes we work! 😁 Thank you, dear kattay! There will be more flowers for you coming! 💐 Thank you ruthie! Peeper, I've been so absent I don't even know how you are doing. I hope you are feeling strong and healthy. I'll be trying to catch up a bit in the next days. Change is hard for sure!
