Chickturu's Journal, 08 Mar 14

I bought my trampoline and was so excited to start using it! I thought I would feel like a kid jumping all day on it and that would be an easy way to lose weight while having so much fun!!! I totally saw me playing in there for hours!

I had never been so wrong. LOL! I put a youtube video that showed a 45 min. trampoline workout... I was really dying after 15 mins. My legs were in so much pain, and I was sweating so much after half of the session! I needed to pause several times and do it in a slower speed than the ladies in the video.

I finished my hour session including 10 mins of weights (also newly introduced in my routine). SMASHED. that is the word that describe it.

Worse than that, today I am so sore that I could barely move my arms, belly, hips and chest, and my legs, OMG! needless to say that I didn't exercise today!

But hey, I will get into the trampoline again and I will definitely conquer it! It might take me a week or 2, but I will do that 45 min. session properly!

Good on you for not giving up though! Trampoline is harder than it looks I jumped with my kids for 20 min yesterday on a big one and when I got off my legs were wobbly and my lungs were burning!;-):O

You have tweaked my interest. Why did you decide to get a trampoline?

Thanks a lot Nina :) it is true, it looks way harder than it is, but I also think it is a very good exercise; and you can have fun on it :) Wholefoodnut, I saw that one member of FS was using a trampoline for exercising; when I was a kid I loved them and then I thought it might be a good idea to get one. I did some research on the web for a couple of weeks to see how it works, what you exercise, the pros and cons, and so on. And then at the end I decided to get it; there are many routines in DVDs and in Youtube that make it even more interesting.

After you mentioned the trampoline I started looking online for info. Looked like fun, a change from my indoor walking cardio especially early am or if the weather is so I cannot ride my bike. Stopped at a thrift shop on my way home and they had a new 36 inch one in the box, never even put together, complete with instructions and a dvd. It's now sitting on my coffee table wanting me to put it together.
