Happy 😃 happy 😃 Wednesday....

The voices in my head told me today is a rest day...and I listened....well...I did turn zwift on to see my choices of rides today...and decided....I just didn’t want to do any extra hills today....slept great...but alarm woke me up this morning...so guess a recovery day is needed...

The scale was up barely..guessing it’s not enough water yesterday....was busy...even forgot to snack before I went back into fasting mode....guessing my body is catching up with its self....fitbit was showing a decrease in resting heart ♥️ rate....that means fat is burning....always a good sign....even if scales doesn’t see it all....

High 50s this week...upper 60s next week....probably a big weather tease in the coming future when we see more cold air return after the nicer weather.....

Not sure what today holds....recovery day....means rest and extra nap day....all good...

As always Have a fantastic positive day....

What does resting heart rate have to do with fat burning? Mine has been decreasing (which is awesome), but I can’t find anything on correlation with fat burning on Google. In fact when I searched, my first article was “why the fat-burning heart rate is a myth” LOL Would be curious if you had a link to share, because I’m convinced that my lowered heart rate is indirectly related to my weight loss (lower stress level equals lower heart rate and lower levels of cortisol that causes fat retention), but if there is a direct link, that would be another awesome piece of data to track going forward.

I have no link....while at walmart couple weeks ago I bumped into local doctor...we were chatting ..I ask him about fitbit showing lower resting heart rate....he said an indicator of weight loss..that heart isn’t working as hard....

Interesting. Yeah I couldn’t find a link either, but I tend to agree. I don’t think the two things are correlated necessarily, but like you said, a lowered heart rate is generally a sign of better cardiovascular health which often goes hand-in-hand with decreased body fat and increased health. Thanks for the clarification!
