I’m sorry I may have misunderstood -you recommended XBX developed in 1967 I’ve been a marathoner for 20 years, cancer two knee surgeries and I haven’t stopped! That program is for someone who is unaware of working out it’s also archaic-I know what to do it’s sharing stories that will help thks I’m also ready for yoga-take care Thks again

It was a helpful suggestion. Yes, the XBX/5BX program is archaic! It was created in the 1950s! Things are way different now and we know crunches are better for your back than sit-ups etc. But it's purpose is to give someone a place to begin and a goal to work towards. I discovered it recently and for someone who used to be very active and into weight lifting but who hasn't done any consistent exercise in 20 years it's difficult to know where to start and when to add more reps etc. 5BX gives me a guideline. It starts off small, only 10 minutes, has gradual measurable progression and assists in building exercise as a daily habit. I mentioned it here on FS because others in the same boat might see it the same way I did. Just because it's archaic doesn't mean it's useless and was still a good suggestion for someone who may not know your background or where you are right now in your fitness goals. Congrats on beating cancer! (I've lost 2 people who weren't so lucky) And I do wish you the best on your weight loss journey!

Tlab80- I like your idea of setting weekly goals! I'll have to try that. I suffer from making goals too vague or too long and don't stick to them lol Keep it up!
